Nike-TN North America-Logistics Center and Logistics Center Office

Nike Tennessee U.S. Footwear North America Logistics Center and Nike Tennessee U.S. Footwear North America Logistics Center Office in Memphis, Tennessee, both earned silver certifications through the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building program.

The design and construction of these buildings were guided by sustainable design and building principles that take into account social, environmental and economic priorities. This results in high-performing buildings that are more energy efficient, use less water, and have higher indoor air quality.

The Pickering Firm, Inc. served as architects and engineers for the project, and H & M Company was the general contractor. Entegrity provided LEED Consulting, Energy Modeling, and Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning services.

Project highlights for the Office building include:

  • Water use reduction of 42 percent.
  • Energy cost savings of 29 percent.
  • Of the materials used in the buildings, 32 percent were produced, extracted and manufactured within 500 miles of the project site, and 32 percent of the materials contained recycled content.
  • 67 percent of the on-site general construction waste was diverted from the landfill.
  • Adhesives, sealants, paints, coatings and flooring systems that meet the low-emitting materials standards for volatile organic chemicals, helping assure a higher indoor air quality for the building occupants.
  • A commitment to alternative transportation by providing storage for bicycles, along with changing rooms and showers for those who ride them, and preferred parking for low-emitting and fuel-efficient vehicles.

  • Water use reduction of 35 percent.
  • Energy cost savings of 31 percent.
